Ekiti Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has claimed the state is now part of Biafra. Fayose was speaking to newsmen, during the bail hearing of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, at the Federal High Court that sat in Abuja on Tuesday. “Ekiti State is now part of Biafra,” he declared. This is the first time Fayose is openly showing support for the movement, which is agitating for a breakaway of the South-East from the Nigeria. Kanu has been granted bail on health grounds . The IPOB leader is also expected to provide three sureties one of whom must be a serving Senator, a Jewish religious leader and highly respected person, who own land anywhere in Abuja. The bail bond has been set at N100million for each surety. Kanu was also ordered never to grant any interviews to the press, pending the outcome of his trial. He will not be seen in a gathering of more than 10 people. Justice Binta Nyako made it clear that Kanu’s bail will be revoked, if any of the orders ar

After twelve weeks of topping the charts, it's time for ed_Sheehan's "Shape of you" to stand down and be humble.   Kendrick Lamar 's "Humble." rises from No. 3 to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated May 6), becoming the rapper's second Hot 100 No. 1 and first as a lead artist.    The song unseats Ed Sheeran 's "Shape of You" after 12 weeks atop the Hot 100. North Korea crises could be neutralized, but china needs to be on board.

Image
The crisis with North Korea may appear trumped up. It's not. G iven that Pyongyang has had nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles for more than a decade, why the panic now? Because North Korea is headed for a nuclear breakout. Kim jong-un's led North Korea has declared openly that it plans to build an intercontinental ballistic missile[IBM] that can reach the United states from North Korea; destroying american cities. The North Koreans are not bluffing. They've made significant progress with solid-fuel rockets, which are more quickly deployable and thus more easily hidden and less subject to detection and pre-emption. At the same time, Pyongyang has been steadily adding to its supply of nuclear weapons. Today it has an estimated 10 to 16. By 2020, it could very well have a hundred. (For context: the British are thought to have about 200.) Some will argue for deterrence. If it held off the Russians and the Chinese for all these years, why not th

It's No wonder people cry at weddings, with costs like these

Image
Like they say; after the wedding comes marriage. Trust me you don't be broke after the wedding.      A lot of folks prefer to spend so much on their weddings claiming that ''it's once in a life thing''. But in as much as we want it to be memorable do we have to break the bank to do so? C'mon!!!    Weddings aren't cheap — even if you're not the one getting married. The average guest spent $703( about N283,200) for each wedding last year, with millennials (who are arguably more apt to be in that everyone-I-know-is-getting-married phase of life) shelling out even more, at an average $893 per celebration,  according to  the American Express Spending & Saving Tracker. Multiply that by an average three weddings per year, and celebrating  other people's marriages  is no small expense. A big contributor: One in five weddings is a "destination wedding" somewhere other than the couple's home,  per  The Knot. Those trav

CHELSEA SHOW SOME CLASS AS THEY BEAT RIVAL TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR IN FA CUP SEMI-FINALS

Image
A ntonio Conte’s Chelsea might not have produced the greatest performances of late, but they certainly know how to deliver a great victory when the pressure is on, and they rarely come much more significant than a win over a bitter opponent in an FA Cup semi-final. This was one of those days when Tottenham Hotspur’s young players showed that they can compete with the very best but whether they can beat them remains a question still unanswered. Against the side they are chasing for the Premier League title, Mauricio Pochettino’s players controlled much of the match and, in Christian Eriksen, had the game’s best player but they simply could not put the game away. Instead it is Chelsea for whom the league and Cup double is very much on, and yet another FA Cup semi-final defeat for Spurs – their seventh – since the club last won the competition in 1991. They have had another fine season but it threatens once again to end without a trophy and they will rega

P-square's 'NOBODY UGLY.'- Hit or miss?

Image
Nigeria’s most famous pair, P-Square , have completely raised the bar many notches higher with this instant classic they call “Nobody Ugly”.    The track is rendered over a joyful and addictive high-life instrumental and is accompanied with a video fully packed with beautiful bursts of colour and intense, rib- cracking humour. On this song, Peter and Paul positively address some serious social issues of self esteem and the daily damage caused by the alarming “fakeness” on social media.        But as some may have it; p-square could certainly come up with something far better. From lyrics to the beats. What are you thoughts? HIT? or MISS?

This is creepy!!!       Study shows that; People are more afraid of  losing phones than breakups .       For most people, the thought of losing a phone is more distressing than the prospect of a breakup.           A study conducted for security software firm Kaspersky Lab made participants rate “most distressing incidents.”            Only a family member’s illness was able to beat out losing a phone and the inability to retrieve digital photos, which ranked second and third in the list, respectively.           Breakups were only considered the fourth “most distressing” incident, followed by a hacked social media account, the loss of digital contacts, a quarrel with a friend, family member or partner, a car accident where no one got hurt, a bad day at work, and a pet’s illness.         Despite people’s attachment to their digital memories, the study also showed that people are willing to give their photos and other personal details away for as little as $

$43m Osborne funds: Saraki asks EFCC to disclose owners          SENATE, yesterday, asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to immediately unveil owners of the $43 million found in a luxury apartment at Ikoyi, Lagos.          Sources from vanguardng.com reports that;  President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, who stated this in an interview with Arise Television late Monday night, also said the ongoing controversy and row surrounding the cash haul were giving Nigeria a bad image.       Saraki, who noted that there was no reason for the controversy to have come up in the first place,  said: “I don’t think I should speculate or join the conversation on who the money belongs to. I know it is the responsibility of the EFCC to reveal who the money belongs to. This is very simple.
